The Esteem Factor: You ARE Worth Life

Recently I have been thinking about why we respond the way that we do to certain situations that we face. No matter the circumstance, we will respond to the problem based off of how we feel about ourselves and life in general. People will hurt our feelings and disrespect us, but how do we handle it?

There isn’t one person that can say that no one has said or done anything negative to them on this earth and thats just the way it is. If we lack self esteem and self worth then we internalize what was said /done and turn into a truth by allowing ourselves to become depressed and hurt beyond measure. This is a growing trend, especially amongst younger generations.

It is sad to see so many young people hurting and I don’t know everyones story, but they do have a future in God. How do we learn self worth? Typically, that comes from upbringing, religion, or maturity. But it is something that we have to learn, especially when the media sets high, unattainable standards for todays society.

To us all, when we see someone younger, don’t be so quick to scold them or disgrace them, instead find some encouragement and love in a helping hand towards them. Our youth do need us and this life is not becoming any easier for them. All you have to do is look online…..and if you’re anything like me, it will break your heart. I remember being a teenager and it was hard, but now a days it seems to have gotten tougher.

We don’t know the backgrounds of todays youth and how they may have been mistreated. But I bet you that we do know about some old fashioned love and care….and that can go a long way in a teens life to build their character, self esteem, and self worth.

To the rest of us who are lacking the essentials of self esteem and self worth, just take the time to tell yourself how amazing and beautiful you are. Think about what it is you are passionate about and set goals to achieve your dreams. Most importantly, take time to read the Bible and know what God thinks of you, that is most important and a treasure.

“For I am Fearfully and Wonderfully made, Marvellous are thy works that my soul knoweth right well.” (Paraphrased from Psalms 139:14 in the Bible).

As always…thanks for stopping by and stay amazing 😉
